The main site will be updated later - and mainly as the transition to a new Messenger based site too.

Google launched Gmail on 1st April. Everyone thought that was a joke at the time and now what? They have Gmail.

As I told the people on IRC last night, we weren't sure of announcing this today because April Fools. We didn't have much of a choice in the matter in the end though.

i have to agree that if they change the name they'll have some problems, but they have the right to do it . And they wouldnt change the name that much (i guess ). I'd say something like Microsoft Messenger Plus!

this bull... microsoft is just going to distroy plus

I think this is good for Messenger Plus! Live, it means that people are going to use it more simply beacause it's a Microsoft affiliate and would be trusted 100%, instead of people believing it has trojans and stuff .
