You got £20 to be shared between you and a friend, you should get £2 more than your friend, how much did you both receive?

Thats pretty much the lamest math question ive heard Anyone who has common sence can solve it. If it was between more people or something then simply use variables
You got $x. Your friend got $(x-2)
Total = $20
x+x-2 = 20
2(x-1) = 20
x = 11
You got $11 and your friend got $9
I know you can just say it out but eh .... math > *

not really a riddle, but this was fun none the less:
1. Read every instruction carfuly first
2. write down exactly what you do
3. say your name
4. write you rname down
5. scribble your name with the opposite hand you write with
6. stand up
7. say "i'm a little momma's boy" out loud
8. pat your head
9. rub your stomach
10. bend over
11. touch your toes
12. sit on the floor
13. not stand up
14. run around in circles
15. stand on your head (if you can)
16. yell "NITEMARE ROCKS" as loud as you can
17. find the nearest person, and tickel them
18. hop up and down
19. print this page
20. put on a hat
21. draw a simple stick man
22. talk to anybody on teh computer (e-mail,MSN, anything)
23. do a dance
24. record your self like sonicsam
25. turn the TV on
26. take off the hat
27. now that you've read all the instructions, do only 1,2,27, and 28
28. post everything you did (be honest)
