When you reinstalled it and all, did you delete the old files (including "AppData")?

start firefox with the -profilemanager     command line.

profiles are stored in C:\Documents and Settings\WINUSERNAME\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\funkynumbers.nameofprofile

        1) Select Start > Run... from the Windows Start menu.

        2) Enter firefox.exe -profilemanager and press OK.

Ok guys - I tried the profile manager (which  didn't want to load) along with a lot of other things. I just deleted all the registry entries/program files and am re-installing firefox as we speak. I hope THAT works


Update: Someone at the mozilla.org forums helped me fix it!

Not a clue, but deleting my profile fixed it
