O.P. Tongue  Making this look good.
Well, I have a pretty big monitor, it has always been on 1024x768, I want to change my resolution to 1280x1024, but whenever I do this, everything looks really small, what can I do to prevent everything looking like this?

You cant, the higher the resolotion is the smaller everthing seams because there are more pixels on the screen.
So a 16x16 icon will look smaller because there are more pixels around it.

so if i make the icons larger or whatever, and somehow the taskbar bigger, then it should be okay?

I guess if text is bothering you, you could change the font size to Medium or Extra large (lol)

Or use an easier type of font to read like Arial..?

You get used to it. I have been running @ 1280x1024 for a long time with a 15". Now I run 1024x768, and when I switched to 1280x1024 for a short period, everything looked really tiny. I suggest just trying it for a few days. You'll either like it very much because you have much more space, or will hate it because you have bad eyes.

Right click your desktop, hit "Properties" then "Settings" "Advanced" Then in the "Display" box change that to a larger DPI (e.g. 120 DPI)

I changed from 800 X 600 to 1024 X 768 but you do after a while get used to things being smaller. I wonder what 1280x1024 look like may I have a screeny traxor?

To me that doesn't look any smaller from 1024 X 768. :^) I might change to it now. :)

it looks okay ish, but still, it does look really quite small when I'm typing and stuff, I'll get used to it I suppose, all in the nature of having a nice user interface >.<.
