I just don't get why all the glass and reflections and stuff. If I want a logo, I want a nice simple picture that people will remember. Given the current trend, it's probably best to make a jagged-edged, flat shaded logo, then it'll stand out.

I agree. The generator was a joke... I wouldn't expect a bunch of people to use it to actually make logos... I was making a point about how most Web 2.0 logos, while quite cool, are all the same.
No need to say my generator is rubbish.
