On Event Log Window, when you double clic on an event, a little window with Details (Event Viewer - Details) opens.
On that window, a browse option that can forward and reverse the events for this user. All the events associates with that user will be displayed...

Just a quick browse through all that, and i thougt that BetterName should be added somewhere, like in the preferences..

Besides others that have already been mentioned, I have a couple...

1. Ability to rename contacts (I know its been mentioned elsewhere, but I am unsure of its possability)

2. Random Name Generator (Have a 'bank' of names and have them inserted into your nick at set intervals)

3. Better (!WAP) info ("I am currently listening to...", Bit Rate, id3 info...)

MS agents are a great idea, but I don't know about having a big green parrot flying around my screen...  Mabey only have the TTS/T2S engine...

Just my support for some previously mentioned suggestions:

-Ctrl+S for strikeout
-Log viewer or RTF/HTML logging
-integrated permanent color changer (not thaaaaaaat important)
-the recent history when opening an im window as in trillian
-(!UPTIME)
-Add notification windows to event logger and to pop checking (i think some programmers who did this would like to help here)
-Quick Sounds panel (such as the quick smilies)
-Divide (!WAT) into smaller tags ( (!W-TITLE), (!W-LENGTH), (!W-PLAYED), etc.)
-Maybe add the possibility to assign a (global) sound to play when anybody logs off? (trillian has this)

and if i think of something else i'll add it

Ok, i have a few suggestions for the event log window

1) When a user has been idle or away and returns, the logged message is "Contact is now online". This gives you the impression when reading the log that they have just signed in, not just returned from away/idle status. I think it would be good if instead it said "Contact status has been changed to online" or "Contact has returned from idle status"

2) Also i think you should add to that window the option to show when people open and close a chat window to you. i have seen this in similar programs before.

like in mIRC, it displays how long your computer has been on for:

eg)

you type "(!uptime)"

and "(!uptime)" gets replaced with something simular to "Windows XP up 1wk 1hr 56mins 29secs", depending on how long you've computer's been on for

As for UpTime, it's not a bad idea but it should display the time you sice you launched Messenger.... your contacts dont really care about how much time your Windows has been up I think...
