Hi, i think there is a bug in this plugin, well it looks like it. Basically what happens, is when i have it installed, and i then open a second msn messenger (whatever means is used, eg. patches, jrnzloader, stuff-ng plugin), currently using stuff-ng2 plugin, the second msn messenger crashes.

Yet if i uninstall file transfer plus plugin it works fine. Note that it either crashes right away or if a persons name is clicked for chat.

If you would be able to try this out and fix it that would be great .

The versions im using:
MSN Messenger 7.0.0777
Messenger Plus! 3.52.130

Using Stuff-ng2 Plugin (Version 2.2.119) for polygamy
And only other plugin i got on MsgPlus is WMPLUS2 (for showing the song that is playing in wmp)

Thanks for your help, this seems like a useful plugin sometimes when you wish to resume and send things faster.. but i cant use it right now if it crashes .

Hi, I gotta say this is one great plugin thx for the good work Ricardog but shame i've had no luck sofar getting it to work on my messenger.
here are details:
MSN Messenger 7.0.0813
Messenger plus! 3.52.130
File Transfer Plus 1.1 RELEASE (1.1.09)
Windows Xp pro SP2
Norton Antivirus 2004 pro
ZoneAlarm pro 5.5.094.000
Internet Connection: Cable through linksys wireless router WRT54GS
Note; my buddy who i'm trying the FT+ with, has the same setup but she's on LAN.
we've tried the following sofar and had no luck; (on both ends)
Shutting down ZA completely.
Sending in passive mode.
Entering external IP manually.
Setting FT+ to detect IP automatically.
Forwarding inbound and outbound traffic on port 8030 and port range 8030-8040 on ZA.
Disabling Wireless Router firewall.

FT+ is always on "awaiting connection"

Having done all the above i dont think it's ever gonna work on my pc at all ! lol
anyway, if anything comes to ur mind let me know.

well the problem could be that its still not compatible with the beta version of msn messenger 7.0.0813

messenger 7.0.0813 is still Beta? I downloaded off MSN, I thought it's final.

The plugin will use the default save folder, you can set it at General tab in the options dialog, or at the Friend list tab for media files.

OK, I've been playing with that for a while. But I'm finding that I work in a lot of different folders--even on different drives. And I almost *never* want to save something in whatever the default folder happens to be at the moment. 70-80% of the time, I want to use the last folder I saved in, or one that is nearby (on the same drive, in the same branch of the directory tree). Having the option to just use the last folder would really make my life easier! (going in and changing my default folder all the time is turning out to be too cumbersome).

I got a popup message saying a new version of the plugin was available so I downloaded it.

I found with previous version when a person sent a file MSN would "automatically" decline it.  Is there a way to allow certain file extensions to allow. 

(e.g. jpg, gif, zip etc..)

Does MSN Messenger offer a scan before files are transfered to a user to detect any attached viruses?  Or do we have to rely on our own anti-virus to find problems?

With technology these days you think before a file transfer is established MSN would scan for a virus detection, they do it in Hotmail so it could work the same, yes?

Please let me know.  Also with this plugin does the other user need to have it installed also to have it to work?

If so it's a bit of a pain, surely there could be a work-around for this.?.?.?

I cant get mine to work. I installed the new version (1.1.09).
My messenger is version 7 build 7.0.0777 and i use MSG Plus version 3.52.130.

But after I installed the new version of File Transfer Plus, The plugin doesn't appear in my MGS Plus plugins list or anywhere else...

Dunno if anybody else had this problem. I tried searching but didn't get any results...

Please help me as this seems to be a really cool plugin
