I have my zone alarm firewall on all of the time I am connected to the net but somehow I have a virus on my C: Drive! It would be much appreciated if someone could tell me of a good anit-virus which is free to use without restrictions to get rid of it.

I use this all the time with no problems. If you want to use it for longer then 30 days, you have to register it, but that's free and only takes a few minutes

Thanks very much. I am using this now I am not bothered by the 30 day file limit thing either!

Alongside your regular AV program you can use Avert Stinger to scan and get rid of most virusses, trojans etc.

why not just do an online scan at online scan

Because having an application installed is MUCH safer then doing an online scan every now and then

Zone Alarm is a firewall - firewalls block un-wanted connections to the internet by un-approved programs and/or hackers.

An Anti-Virus stops known viruses/worms from attacking. Viruses/worms don't always embed themselves on your system, Virusesare usually loaded on the system by File Sharing or email attachments, but Worms usually get through via exploits ("back doors") in Windows.

true, but also a FREE Antivirus cleaner isnt gonna fix all related viruses either,
