O.P. Security tab in windows xp
as much as i know, the security tab (where u can set folder permissions) is only available for ntfs drives amd UNDER SAFE MODE, at least thats how i am doing it.
yet i have seen few computers running under normal mode, yet have the security tab available in the folder properties.
does anyone know how can i set up my windows xp so that the security tab will be also available under normal mode, cuz its frustrating when u have to restart into safe mode to change some permissions.

Only one more thing to add: (as long as I know) you can't uncheck "Use Simple File Sharing" in Windows XP Home, because there's no such checkbox; at least in normal mode.

Correct. To edit permissions in XP Home, you have to either reboot in safe mode, or do what I do, use the CACLS command (Google it).

cacls comes with my Windows XP Pro; (it's a console command) so I think it comes with Home too.
it's in %windir%\SYSTEM32\cacls.exe
