O.P. windows sloooow as hell!
my windows is running very very slow, the mouse is like, moving in steps. i hope you get what i mean. i checked the processes and no unknown thing is running. i have a 2.6 Ghz processor and 1 GB RAM. i think this might be a hardware problem, cos one of my HD is also not being detected. i had formatted the whole computer last week, so thats not the problem either. please help.
thanks

Well since I've started adding more scripts to plus Istarted having my mose doing the same some times and the computer also get slow some times. I have 1 Gb ram and when my computer does that it says in the task manager that memory is being 100% used and it's almost always 90% for WLM or for explorer.exe during those periods of "slwoness".

No point in ending explorer too although is not system classiffied. It will restart automaticly, so in the event that what is robbing you of your ram is explorer then you try to reinstall windows.

for your problem, sorry, I can't think of anything that's not been said already...

but if you think it has something to do with the hdd which is not detected, unplug it and see if it helps

If you can, try something along the lines of Knoppix (a live-linux cd), this will let you see if it's a hardware or simply Windows (driver) problem.

actually, i think the hdd problem and this problem is related. the hdd is detected once when i unplug and plug it again, but it goes off again if i restart.
