O.P. Upgrade BT
We just upgraded on bt for faster internet, but the speed it only 4669kbs and it should be 8000kbs
And the internet keeps going off so i have to switch the internet off and on again.
Has anoyone else upgraded and experienced that?
Or does anyone know how to stop my internet?

It all depends on where you live. And also it should take roughly a week to get your line profile set.
How far away are you from your exchange? |

you can switch off the internets?!?!?! =o
Also, if you are going through a wireless router, or sharing the connection with other computers/devices this could slow down the connection. |

And,
If your phone line is the usual quality you get now a days they have a max of about 5MB  So this could be the cause of your problem |

You're on ADSL Max, you will not get 8MB, no matter what they say. ADSL Max is up to 8MB, chances are you will get about 5mb unless you are pretty close to your exchange and have a good line.

Im about 50 meters away from it, and i can get about 7.5mps.
He is like 700meters away from it. My uncle lives about 500 meters away and he only gets 5mbps.
So either move closer or get ADSL2+.
