Technology - Product design

Got results back from my science GCSE, apparently you can "cash it in" or retake the tests, I am 3 marks away from A* so I'm retaking one I got less marks in.

Maths is almost done, 3 tests down (A, A and A*) and 3 courseworks (same grades). Just one more test to do next year.

PE, 2 out of 4 (i think) courseworks done got A* in those two. Havent done the tests yet.

Geography part of my humanities test I got a C :\ Geography sucks anyway (A) Might have to retake.

so many schools take the easier route now.

much harder to get a good grade, if you have two exams (cal & non-cal) for the whole subject as you've gotta remember/know the whole gcse criteria. not just 1/2 modules at a time.

p.s.
yes i'm bitter, as i'm sure doing the modules way i would have got an A*. rather then the A (3 marks off an A*) i got from doing the proper full length exams.

Without modules the course would be a hell of a lot less detailed. I learnt so much more during module revision rather than terminal paper revision.

I agree... We have to do just two exams, and well, it would be a LOT easier if you did it in modules, because it's a lot less to revise and remember for exams.

Anyway, yeah, going into year 11 tomorrow. And I am taakkiinnggg:

Maths
Science - Biology, Physics, Chemistry
English - English and English Literature
R.E Full Course
Geography
History
Spanish
Graphics

Already done an exam for R.E and some for all the Science's, but I don't know all the results yet.

Modules is easier to revise, but I ended up revising a lot more for Science. As a result I learnt more :P.

That's what I gotta do. We have 8 sets for maths in my year at school, sets 1-3 do it that way, sets 3-8 do it vimto's way. (set 1 = highest btw. I'm in set 3)
