Actually you didn't do what I suggested. You did what Joshua suggested.

So instead, follow the instructions I gave and not the instructions given by Joshua (sorry Joshua). My instructions and the link I gave are different than what Joshua said. So reread my post again and follow those instructions.

The link provided by Joshua is not the proper installer, like I already explained in my previous post also together with the proper link for WLM8.5. Following the link in my post will get you Windows Live Messenger 8.5 guaranteed....

Also MS does allow you to roll back. All you need to do is to uninstall all the current Windows Live tools and follow the instructions I gave.
