Wireless networks are awful to setup. Some amazing technology ruined when it comes to creating instructions. I've only realised today my network was not secure. I had a password on it, but I used a WEP key (default for the majority of routers). I look at my neighbours connections, and 4/5 off them are not secure.

Maybe yours isn't? Do you even use a password and with what kind of encryption ?

I just want to find out.

The first think I would do if I wanted/needed/had wireless would be secure it.

I don't have Wireless, but if I had, I would of course secure it.

I dont need a password because there's no need, we have enough land so people cant access it without coming quite far into out land

I use WEP. My router doesn't like WPA for some reason.

What's your router, I know BT don't seem to get on with it . WPA is lower down the choice list and it's easier to use as well. There is no need to create a key, you just have to remember your password .

WEP is not secure, you may as well not have a password really. I'm really annoyed Netgear didn't tell me that.

securing your wlan is sooo 2006...
my wii wouldn't work properly and there is no good reason to secure it anyway... if my internet becomes really laggy I'll just block the mac address off the person causing that...

i use radius (unhackable :--D)

I don't have wireless conection, but if I had, I would secure it too
