i used your version and sorry to say it made absolutely no difference whatsoever but fear not i have made them look slightly better using a mixture of paint and PSP 8 i will include a screenshot of them both to compare

ok they look slightly worse now but not a great deal different from the originals (i am talking about a couple of pixels here) but i still dunno what you mean by a black background because this is what happens on my msn with a pure black background [see enclosed pic] it shows up the actual message window with the greyish bit in it. thus making no difference what so ever

It's possible by customizing the Windows system colors... or using themes or WindowBlinds... take a look at the attachment...


...plus, I'm kind of a perfectionist, so if I know it can look good on any setting I'd go for that... nothing personal

i feel like a perfectionist when it comes down to non school or tidy room stuff aswell (I think its got to me!)BTW i finished those emoticons then i got a BSOD [Blue Screen of Death] and lost all my work should be back soon

It's not in any of WMP's files and/or directories. It is in some windows resource file. I ripped it before so I can't remember which one, but here it is:

Nah, i will show you... They look perfect on MSN with any background

And about that 100% black thing by PsychoMark... I also use custom window themes, used them long before MSN 6 came out, and NEVER had anything like that

I think its a bug or summttin'...
