The name is just bringing a freshness to what they think is stale..and the norm..makes the new consumer think.."something different must be better..
Changing the name also stops confusion between this new version and the older versions..
MSN messenger is completely different to what it was say four years ago...so a new name for a product that has come so far is totally expected.
But for the users of the old..a thing to remember is
"After all, what's most important is how the thing works, not what it's called."!~
